The Brief
One celebration, two cities
In 2019, Circle 8 was entrusted with the coordination of a private wedding for an international technology executive. The celebration unfolded across two Swiss cities — Basel and Zurich — with guests arriving from abroad.
The assignment brought together hotels, fine dining, a specially sourced champagne, an exclusive venue on Lake Zurich and the full coordination of the event itself. The client remains anonymous; discretion is part of the story.
Chapter One
Basel
Arrival & Hospitality
Guests were accommodated at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois, overlooking the Rhine in the heart of the old town.
A culinary highlight of the programme took place with Tanja Grandits in Basel.
A champagne specifically requested by the client was sourced from France for the occasion.
The Journey Continues
Basel → Zurich
From the Rhine to Lake Zurich — guests, logistics and every detail travelled with the celebration, coordinated by the same team.
Chapter Two
Zurich
The Celebration
In Zurich, guests stayed at the Widder Hotel in the old town.
Strozzi's on Lake Zurich was hired exclusively for the wedding — and transformed for the celebration.
From the setting to the final moment, every element of the evening was arranged and coordinated by Circle 8.
